We are problem solvers and innovators who value relationships and continuously invest in our people, skills and technical expertise. We want to not only deliver best in class consultancy and solutions but fuel a dynamic, high performing healthy environment around us. Energising Environments and positively shaping the world around us is why we do what we do. Social responsibility plays a big part in this, and our commitment to the future through sustainable design solutions forms only part of our purpose. The rest involves doing our bit and adding value through environmental, workplace and community initiatives.

Environmental

We are passionate about protecting our planet, and having established our In-house Sustainability department in 2004, environmental responsibility has always been at the forefront of our operations.

The sustainability team work incredibly hard to calculate the energy performance of buildings and offer solutions to make them more sustainable for the future.

We proudly hold an ISO14001 accreditation which ensures we have a managed approach to implementing environmental responsibility within the business. Environmental best practices form part of our culture and ethos, and are followed at all levels which includes reducing, reusing, and recycling materials.

Workplace

As a socially responsible employer, we ensure that our team are presented with regular training opportunities to improve personal development. We invest in our team no matter what stage of their career they are at and have provided the support needed to get members of the team through University to gain a degree.

Personal development training is available to those unable to work for whatever the circumstance so that they can remain active and better themselves for when they can return to work. Additionally, we are more than happy to consider work placements and apprenticeships where appropriate, use local media outlets and engage with local Schools, technical colleges and Universities when recruiting.

We look to support a healthier community and workforce by promoting staff well-being and giving our team tutorials to advise of the importance of physical and mental health, this being even more crucial now than ever before. Recently, we have partnered with Emma Dredge at Project Awesome Life to provide 1-2-1 completely confidential mindfulness sessions to anyone who wants one.

We also have appropriate policies in place including diversity and inclusion policies to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity, feels valued at work, and to help tackle the skills shortage and gender imbalance which is evident within the industry.

Communities

Supporting charities and engaging with our local communities has always been close to our hearts and has been one of the foundation stones of our culture over the last 24 years.

It is important that we leave a lasting legacy within the communities that we work. This means not only being part of a team that can create ambitious and dynamic public and private sector work, but ‘to do our bit’ to promote community well-being.

At Davies Partnership we pride ourselves on our relationships with those who make a truly positive impact to their communities. For the past three years we have been working with and fundraising for our Charity Partner Claire House Children’s Hospice. In 2019, three members of our team headed up by Managing Director, Tony McDonnell, participated in the Liverpool to Chester bike ride to raise money for the charity and support the fantastic work that they do year-round.

Occasionally, we contribute part of our fee to support Community Projects. This was the case when designing services for the Ruthin Community Centre in North Wales, where we completed duties for a reduced fee with a contribution donated to Claire House.

Sport plays a significant role in a lot of our teams’ lives, so unsurprisingly we are engaged with direct sponsorship of Community Sporting Events and Sports Teams. To name a few, we are proud to sponsor Pex Hill Sharks, Borras Park Albion and Bala Ladies Football Teams who play in the North West and North Wales. We have also sponsored the Welsh Billiards and Snooker Association (WBSA) Junior teams.
