What We Did

The project was part of an extension and refurbishment to the hotel providing a new 55-bedroom extension, an open lobby area, refurbishment of the food and beverage areas, and the extension and resurfacing of the car park.

Davies Partnership carried out the Mechanical design services to RIBA Stage 3, and the Electrical design services to RIBA Stage 4 for the new block of 55 bedrooms to the hotel. To enable the Hotel to remain operational during the works, all existing engineering systems within the Hotel outside of the area being refurbished at the time remained fully operational.

The Mechanical design featured air conditioning, mechanical ventilation, gas service and above ground drainage, whilst the Electrical design included distribution systems, sub-metering installations, external lighting, and fire alarm system alterations.

What They Said

I have been working with Davies Partnership for over a decade and had no hesitation in appointing them to undertake the design of the mechanical and electrical services for the major bedroom extension and part refurbishment at our Lincoln hotel. Their professional approach and practical knowledge produces value for money co-ordinated design solutions to meet our brief and provide clear system installation details which is a key requirement for the construction phase.
