What We Did
Davies Partnership were appointed to provide full MEP design and project management duties for this state of the art BLS facility which was the second delivered as part of the wider European Fly10K project to enable Airbus to increase capacity and to store and load wings into their Beluga fleet more efficiently.
Our design team were invited to Hamburg on a look and learn mission to discuss with our German colleagues lessons learnt from the first scheme at Hamburg’s Final Assembly Line plant. Valuable lessons that were implemented on the Broughton scheme.
Davies Partnership have worked extensively for this prestigious client for over a decade and have completed multiple high profile schemes with this being the flagship.

What They Said
Our Beluga aircraft are vital for transporting our finished wings to the final assembly lines, but loading and unloading can be at the mercy of the weather. The new line station will help reduce the impact of bad weather on our operations and demonstrates the ongoing commitment by Airbus to the Broughton plant.
