Our History

Chairman Phil Davies establishes the company in a single room of a barn conversion in Farndon, Cheshire, quickly joined by Mike Flanagan and daughter Gemma Davies to make up the original Davies Partnership team.

The Facilities Management division (Davies FM) was established to deliver statutory compliance duties for the Archdiocese of Liverpool and De Vere Hotel group, the divisional Director of FM being the inimitable Cliff Parnell.

In 2003 Davies Partnership was incorporated under the name of Davies M & E Partnership Limited. Managing Director Tony McDonnell and Operations Director Peter Lyke join the business at this time with a view to expanding the Mechanical and Electrical design departments.

In 2004 the Sustainability Department was established principally due to the inception of Part L of the Building Regulations.

After 18 years in Farndon, Cheshire, the business makes a short move to new offices in Hoole, Chester. Cestrian House provides a larger and more modern space that accommodates growth and also attracts new talent, many of whom remain with us to this day.

After 20 years at the helm Phil Davies hands over the reins and appoints Tony McDonnell as Managing Director to take the business forward on the next step of our journey and takes up the role of CEO.

3 years after the move to Hoole, the company opens a new strategic office in the shadow of Conwy Castle to service an ever-growing client base in North and Mid Wales. Richard Lewis is promoted to Regional Director and he starts building up a new team.

As the business grows, a third office is opened in January 2019, this time in the heart of Liverpool in the Historic Century Building on Brunswick Dock.

2020 was a peculiar year for all businesses and COVID affected us all in some way. At Davies Partnership we always like to look for the positives. So in 2020 we pushed forward with a new structure, made several promotions, made a number of new appointments, decided to develop a new identity and website which has given a focus to use this experience in a positive way.

As we moved forward into 2021, Davies Partnership celebrated it’s 25th year anniversary. Following the extraordinary events of 2020, we felt it was a perfect time for a refresh and a review of our business and so we are delighted to share with you our new brand.
